d legs with beautiful designs. It adds more beauty to the bride.

TRADITIONAL MAHARASHTRIAN JEWELLERY

This elegant nose ring called Karwari Nath is a cultural emblem belonging to the Maharashtrian border which is close to Karnataka. Hence it has a hint south indian design element as well.

Vajratik
It is a beautiful blend of Jondhale mani and Krushna Lila Nakshi.
Mangalsutra
The ultimate epithet of love and union a Mangalsutra holds the most revered place in any bride’s life. It symbolizes love, commitment, and unwavering support to the husband. It also symbolizes an husband’s promise to be with his wife for life and beyond.
BANGLES
Maharashtrian bride wears green bangles with the combination of traditional gold bangles. As green colour symbolises the girl is married and now she is a responsible woman.

THE BRIDE
Typical Maharashtrian bridal saree colours are yellow, green and purple. These sarees are usually called Paithanis and they have a golden border. The hairstyle is usually a bun adorned with mogra flowers ("gajara"). Nose ring or "Nath" is worn. The bindi is typical and shaped like a crescent moon with a dot below it. Bangles are always green in colour with interspersed gold bangles in between or on the sides.
